"I called this post Infection Pregnant Yeast because it was 3 topics that are relevant to this site. Yeast Infections when you’re pregnant.
There are many tips on yeast infections during pregnancy, but here we will focus mainly on causes. Pregnancy can be a very tough time on a woman; if you have “Infection Pregnant Yeast” problems, such as vaginal candidiasis or something similar, this can make things so much more difficult. In many cases, pregnant women cannot be given anti-fungals because they may harm the developing child. This means that prevention through proper hygiene then, is often the best course of action."
This is a good introduction to the article as it explains what the article is going to talk about and helps to allay the fears any expectant mothers might have about treating their yeast infections.
"Basically a yeast infection is an overgrowth of the fungus known as Candida. This fungus is present in the body at all times, especially the vaginal canal, and won’t cause problems under normal conditions. Problems begin when the biochemical balance in the body is put “out of whack” and the fungus can then begin overgrowing.
This overgrowth can lead to many physical symptoms including but not limited to, rash, discharge, and foul odor."
Maintaining a "biochemical balance" is truly the key to maintaining health; homeostasis. There are also other symptoms that yeast infections can lead to, such as exhaustion, depression, stress, and aching joints.
"One of the causes of Infection Pregnant Yeast problems is contained within your diet. The candida fungus, like many other fungi, consumes large amounts of sugar to sustain itself and begin a fermentation process. So logically, the best thing to do in these situations is to try and limit your intake of starches and sugars. Focus less on the carbs, and maintain your hygiene and you’ll notice a marked improvement in your symptoms."
Improving your diet is the most important thing you can do for your health, stay away from the processed/chemical laden gun, and go with as much natural stuff as you can. Drink plenty of water. Some good advice that has served me well is to stay way from anything coloured white. Your Mileage May Vary.
All in all this is a good article, so I'd recommend reading it in its entirety. You can do this here. DigitalScryer.com also has a great Yeast Infections Treatment Page, and a very good Catalog of Helpful Yeast Related Products.
Goji Berries... yes... I tried those too.For my health conditions, Those sweet, red berries seemed to help, but only during the time when I consumed them. I don't want to take a drug for the rest of my life, so why would I want to take a natural supplement everyday for the rest of my life (although Goji berries are very tasty and are highly nourishing). To me this was not a cure either (and I'm LOOKING for the CURE).
